etc light on car won't start

My car was driving fine then all of the sudden my battery light came on and i couldn't accelerate and lost power. It wasn't even trying to turn over, so i ended up replacing the battery(still had the stock one and mine is a 2007 as well) and everything works fine now. Thank you!
